Monticello (little mountain)

This past weekend one of my besties - Bryan came into town. He made a sight detour on his way to High Pointe, NC for Furniture Market (a big week long furniture showcase). We spent the day in DC...gorgeous weather. Then on Sunday we drove down to NC. Typically, we tend to do some adventure stunt. Well, this time was a change of pace; we visited the historic home of Thomas Jefferson: Monticello in Charlottesville, VA. It is a beautiful estate, over 5,000 acres and tons of history. They still grow several fruits and vegetables; but the home has turned into a museum (no inside photos).
Post the tour we took a jaunt around Charlottesville - home of UVA...cute college town. We grabbed a bite to eat and then made our way down to High Pointe. We used Garmin as our navigator. It said we should arrive at 6:22PM...Bryan told me this is pretty accurate. Well, needless to say I needed to prove it wrong. We ended up arriving at 5:45PM...I may have sped just a tad but nothing that would have warranted a ticket. Take that Garmin!
