visitors

The past 10 days I had the fortune of having some visitors to my little city.

First - Bryan (my GEC from SD)
Twice a year he comes to the east coast for work and manages from time to time to swing in a stop. This visit we spent a FULL week together.

We started in DC and did a little road trip down to High Point, NC. For several days I was able to work "for him". Our job was to gut a 15K sq ft furniture showroom and redesign it for his clients.

He paid me 90 cents an hour and Chai Teas every morning from Starbucks. I also managed to get a couple area rugs for my home. I was going to grab some furniture but my jeep is too small for the load...next time.

It was a delight spending time together.

Second - Sarah and Rocky (the BABY trip)
I drove back from NC and later in the day was greeted at DCA by these two.

Rocky is a trooper. He managed to put some serious walking miles on the books. His Mom and I could barely keep up. We saw tons of monuments, a couple museums, the CHERRY BLOSSOMS, ate some sinful treats, took in a movie, and even some church. His Mom has the leg stride of a runway model. I don't know how Jared keeps up ;-)...

With hours to spare, He and Sarah even paid a visit to the zoo before boarding their flight home on Monday afternoon. The only things I will say is he is a "ham" every morning and you wouldn't even know he slept just a few hours. This Rocky took the city by TKO (total knock-out).

All in all it was a delight to play hostess to my loved ones.
