swamp time in FL

Part of my job is taking quick trips to builds. I have been to some shady "colorful" parts of the US. This past weekend I was in sunny Orlando for about 36 hours. We built at the Central Orlando Zoo. Now one would think I would have toured the Zoo and gotten to know some of my extended family. Not the case. I walked right past the cheetahs, crazy birds and alligator pit and ended up at our playground site. But the highlight of my quick trip was this place...Swamp House Grill

 

It was a place recommended to my team the eve of our build. It is in a trailer park community. I couldn't find a parking spot because they were all handicap. I had to park around the entrance. It is a fantastic place! Live band call TipUs. We met the owner - Dave, truly enjoys life. We ate fried alligator - good STUFF! Always tasty. Next time you are in Sanford, FL check it out.
