grocery store...MAYHEM

DANGEROUS SNOWSTORM IMMINENT!!! DC is looking at a possible 20 to 28 inches of snow and blizzard-like conditions over the next 48 hours.

It's Snowpocalypse time, and you know what that means - let’s all freak out and run to the grocery store and deplete supplies of milk, TP, and other essentials like cookie dough and peanut butter. Admittedly, I was one of them last night, at the local Harris Teeter, about 50 people deep in line, waiting to get what I *need* for the next few days. I saw lines that made Disneyland look like a breeze. I checked my watch at 7:54PM and then checked it again at 9:12PM when I greeted my checker at the register.

Today, we were told to go home at 2PM, many people were given the day off work in order to avoid a nasty evening commute. One of my friends/co-worker and I walked for a ways in the snowfall…it was nice but most of my time was spent looking down with the hopes on not slipping. I looked up every now and then with flakes falling rapidly and into my eyes and mouth…open to taste the winter awe. So I sit in my apartment logging hours of movies, carbs, and thoughts of how to improve online spending and what snow mayhem I can cause tomorrow during the daylight.

Rumor has it there is an organized snowball fight in Dupont Circle…they are predicting hundreds of people…I may have to witness it myself.

stay tune...
