Nat'l GEO Adventure

As most of you know Bryan (my GEC) has pushed and prodded me for years in doing things that have stretched my comfort level. Well this past weekend was no exception. He signed us up for Canyoneering - rappelling a 30ft waterfall and 70ft waterfall in the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina.

It was led by Pura Vida Adventures (Pura Vida Adventures Canyoneering programs are a combination of climbing, rappelling, waterfalls, swimming holes, and rock climbing. If you want a true multi sport adventure this trip is for you.) Situated just outside Brevard, our location is convenient to Asheville, Hendersonville, Greenville/ Spartanburg and the surrounding areas.

This adventure was 7 hours of muddy, muscle strain, rock sliding, algae/mossy grabbing good time. We had two brothers join our group (Jason & Jeremy from Atlanta); both awesome - one is getting married next week and the other is expecting his first child in Dec. Our guide Joe was pretty serious the first half of the day...rightfully so - being the caretaker of 4 non-rappellers and highly dangerous activity. By the second half of the day he was pretty relaxed. We have many more photos coming but I thought I would upload the first batch and then put the remainder on facebook.

Another thing to add to my...this girl is amazing resume...one day it should pay off...
