Last night I was driving home and got pulled over by a District Police Officer. Now normally I would not be surprised but this time I was. I had come to a complete stop so when he asked if I was on the phone I said yes...but it was on speaker mode. He said effective June 2008 they banded handled devices and I was in violation. He said he could not give me a warning and had to issue me a $100 ticket. Now I explained my confusion and lack of knowledge and he said I could contest the ticket if I purchased a bluetooth or hands-free device and show proof to the local district judge.
Well this morning I saw that Maria Shiver was caught doing the same thing in CA...only she and her husband recently signed a hand-free bill ... and her photo made national headlines. Her excuse is...well, I am the ... good luck Maria. I am hopeful my day in court will be better then yours.
