After many years of talk and hype, my last night in LA at dinner we decided a movie was not going to happen. So Patty, threw out the idea of the race track...we said "WHY NOT?"...so after a couple calls to confirm the track was open we were off. It was Ladies Night - $3 entry fee and $3 to VIP park. How could anyone pass that up.
So we arrived and with gleam in a young girl's eyes we took our first steps into the world or horse racing. We purchased a program and each picked our favorites, of course we did not officially bet but wagered amongst each other.
I have to say my picks all placed and 2 took 1st. We watched 3 races and checked out the ponies prior to each race. It was a marvelous time and capped it off with a run to Starbucks for Peppermint Hot Coco.

So sweet. I've never been to the races and always wanted to go. What a perfect way to end your last night in CA with the girls!
