I will start with the largest event - my younger sister go hitched...yep, that's right someone was put under a spell and decided to marry her forEVER. She was a gorgeous bride and the groom was very handsome for a brother-in-law. They both said "YES" and kissed over an alter...very precious and simply special to witness. The bride...ahhhhh...she was the talk of the family, morning, noon and night. She was angelic, naive, hyper, beastly, funny, crying, singing, dancing, and just plain old Jennifer. The day was LLLLLLLOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG with some funny non-forgettable moments. She had her hair and make-up done by an LBC friend - gorgeous...and late to meet the parents. I was in charge of getting G-MA, and a few sibling to the church on time...I felt we were above the driving laws and my grandma commented on if I knew what a speed-limit was or double lines...I choose to just smile and focus on getting to the church on time. We made it with 12 minutes to spare. After the ceremony I took my tearful self to the front and assist with G-MA.
I had the opportunity to help the bride get ready for her entrance out but felt that my baby sister should have that moment along with my mom. Ahhhhh...making the departcher from the Temple was like a little circus...bootiners flying everywhere and in-law family members arriving very late. The weather decided to take a windy turn and pictures became a windy mess...small children freezing in the mid-March air and crying because they needed to be photographed with no coat on and in wedding party attire. We probably should have taken longer outside but headed for the cars.
Once in the cars we had several hours to kill before the dinner and reception so where does the brides family go to kill time...were else but TARGET. Yes, heading to TARGET I got a call about not having the bride's pie for the cake/pie cutting. Our car turned into the "MISSION - BANANA CREAM PIE for team Jenn...in Lehi, UT". Not pleased about the assignment we knew it needed to be done. We went to a local gas station - no pie, but bakery down the street - no pie, but grabbed a couple sweets (G-MA appreciated), then told about a Village Inn on Main St...cruised Main St. - no Village Inn (nearest one 10 miles), about 45 mins into our search we had the genius idea - frozen pie!!! Found an Albertson's - hit the JACKPOT...Marie Callendar's frozen banana cream. Thank you Albertson's!!! After the pie mission was completed we met the rest of the family in wedding attire at the concession stand in TARGET...eating popcorn, sugar cookies and soda, all dressed in black and red we looked like TARGET Executives. Don't you think?

Finally enough time had passed and we arrived at the reception hall...round 3. We set up the center pieces, freaked out Jenn's two bridesmaids (dumb and dumber) about losing the veil (that was a good laugh). Watched family and Jenn & Chris's friends pile in for the ring ceremony and dinner. The dinner was nice, very good for being catered by a guy who does this on the side. The photographer...well let's just say she was below par. The reception went off without a hitch. Lots of people showed up for having it be on a Wednesday night.

Family tradition was full filled - Jenn, Kate and I did our lip-sync number - Aretha Franklin's "Natural Woman", we got my brother-in-law to blush like no other. The dreaded bouquet toss happened, my strategy move as close up as possible to the bride so that she throws it over your shoulder...SUCCESS. The cake/pie cutting was a good photo op as well...hope the photographer got some of those - Chris managed to give Jenn a good bite and smear on the face.

The family with Little one's departed after all the events. A few of us got left holding the presents and tearing down - not a big deal. We saw the bride and groom off - the car was covered with powder sugar, oreos, whip cream, flour, shoe polish and cherries. I had them drive off the lot and clean off a small part of a window. If we cleaned if off on the parking lot they would be charged for destruction of property. After the clean off the couple whisked away to Deer Valley.
Bubba and I drove a mini-van packed full of gifts home. Got home around 11pm. Congrats to the couple...I hope you scored in more ways then the obvious.
