Several months ago on a road-trip up to Boston; we took a slight detour into NYC to visit a friend. Well we found killer parking and we offered to stay over. In my mind I wasn't just relieved but happy to save the $100 in getting a hotel room. Well we woke up bright and early to hit the road. To my dismay there was a parking ticket on my windshield...P-O'ed. Apparently the space we were parked in was a no parking zone the curb was not painted like all the other zones on the block but a sign hiding behind several trees. A gentleman on the front porch of where I was parked said he see this everyday. I bucked at this and threw the ticket in the car. When I cooled down I phoned in to see the fine - $115.00 - I blew a gasket and curse NYC all the way to the state border. Well for months I've been contesting it and sent in pictures of the scene of the crime in hopes for waiving the fee or lessen the amount. I have received several letters in the mail giving no financial relief. Well after being thrown into the automotive voice system of numbers and hours of operation; I finally spoke to a very abrasive woman who said that I need to pay it in full and then appeal - WHAT KIND of JUDICIAL SYSTEM IS THAT!
