Today I observed Ash Wednesday in New Orleans. I am down in the big easy working on two Builds and one conference. The day was full of Mardi Gras hung-over people via large black crosses or spots on people’s foreheads. (I am still pondering what I would like to give up during the lent season...suggested are welcomed.)
I heart this city for many reasons...first people watching are bar none. You can't help not to watch a large woman on vacation drink a large alcoholic beverage before noon wearing a pink outfit that belongs in a rap video. Second, everyone has a story here to tell. Third, if it isn't fired it isn't being served here. Fourth, Vegas is for armatures, the pro come here. Fifth, Cajun music...RULES, come spoons being played on a man's chest, accordion is the spotlight and French lyrics! Watching an old person dancing like it was the only way to communicate. (Pictures will come soon.)
Side note at dinner last night I tried alligator ... fried and grilled ... taste like chicken and grilled was much better then fried.
