this weekend...in parts
So I made a valiant effort to show my face in the LDS social scene this weekend. Friday night - I attended a dinner & ice skating activity (15 women & 3 men...good odds). Way to cold for ice skating so I ate and cut my losses and went home. Got home and a kind hearted roommate took social pitty on me and we attending a party in the CC (Crystal City). She wasn't all that thrilled to go but was taking one for a fellow team member. I asked where the party was at; she said the "Tramp HOUSE". I was so stooked...reason - this house is an urban legend. It is said that they have a full size out door trampoline in the living room. I had to see it with my own eyes. Sure enough I walked in and people where jumping up and down. The lights were down to a low glow and very loud hip-hop was playing. I realized I was a tad out of my element and 10 years to late. The cops came twice to quiet down the kids. Every person I met asked me what ward I go to; which kind ofstunk given that I had to say it was a family ward. Anyway a few "older" folks kicked it upstairs and chit chatted until my dear roommate was ready to go home. You know when you are old at a party because you start thinking about liablilty of what happens if some dumb BYU grad jumps on a trampoline and jumps right through the window...then again how bad could that be?
