Who knew? Yesterday I was trying to take in my daily 5. I picked an orange up at the grocery store and during a call I was tossing it around to warm it up (don't like cold oranges) and worked on my hand & eye coordination. When I opened it up I noticed it was red inside I thought it was strange and moldy. I continued to peel away. I opened it up and it was blood red, I got up immediately and shared with my staff. They weren't shocked at all and said, "oh you got a blood orange - yummy!" I was like - WHAT??? I guess it is a special type of orange and yet still sweet. I embraced and also felt very sheltered on my fruit knowledge.

I love blood oranges and they are so hard to find! You are a lucky one :) You know what they say... "Never judge a book, or orange in this case, by it's cover. You never know what is on the inside!"
I hadn't heard of blood oranges until last year, and then I immediately went out and bought one. They are super cool to look at. Pricey, though.
