Holiday Party

Friday night was a first for me...a holiday party outside of the office. In years past my jobs have only done potlucks and lunches at restaurants. This year was my first party after hours. The traffic out was a breeze so much so that we arrived early - to kill time we cruised the neighborhood trying to find a menorah or something to celebrate Hanukkah. It took about 15 mins but we found a flag that celebrated Hanukkah...Danielle had the magic eye. The celebration was at a board members home in Vienna - pretty nice area, large beautifully decorated home. There were about 80 of us (friends, spouses, partners and co-workers). They had a catering staff, open bar and waiters - so the hosts could mingle and enjoy the evening as well. I thought it was genius way to go. I met lots of significant others and talked to co-workers who had a little to much to drink. Very entertaining but by 9:30 I was very much ready to bolt. I drove 3 co-workers and one boyfriend. I got home around 11'ish - good times!
