So a co-worker Danielle took pity on me and invited me to her families home up in Maryland. The Tucker's - her parents and two brother plus the dog were very kind to me. We had a lovely meal and napped next to a large window facing the autumn sunshine. They live a wonderful large home and insisted we stay the night. We ate till our belly's would allow us. Her Mom made the most incredible pumpkin crumb...delicious! I made homemade rolls - my grandma would have been so proud of them.

THANKSgiving 2007
This year very nice and pretty - the weather was almost too warm - I know who would have thought that I would say that - 75 degrees and blue skies. I chose to stay local and not drop a wad to see family...just saw them 2 weeks earlier (thanks Mer for getting married). In the morning I did a 5K walk for hunger - SOME; So Others May Eat...a shelter that feeds thousands throughout the DC Metro area. We walked to the participant shuttle service - huge line. So long that the coordinators push the start time back. BY the time we showed up to the starting line they were welcoming the runners. Regardless, we walked and took in the beautiful scenery.
