"Supreme" Learning

Check this as another not normal conversation you would have on the West Coast - where are my people who want to talk about Paris in Jail. Oh well...

Well last night I dare say was a reminder of a pop quiz or drivers license test experience. It was about 9'ish and my roommate Annie (the legal aide) asked if I wanted to go to Whole Foods ... I said "HECK YES!" Well on the way we started talking about the Supreme Court - her job (she is the aide for CHIEF JUSTICE of THE SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES...Annie - I remember that from MEMORY) and she asked if I new the current court. I laughed and started naming retired and dead members (Sandra Day O'Connor, Rehnquist, Thurgood, etc.) and that one guy who had a hearing for doing something with a woman that he shouldn't have - she did not find this a joking matter. I stopped and said, "I doubt that many people actually know who is on the current court"...she gasp with much shock. Then it got serious (for her) and I was thrown into this wicked American Civics lesson. So she started telling me about the current members - names(full first, middle, last), home states and bios. I had to stop her and we started doing the run down, I had to then turn it into the sentence association game. I will share with you all...trust me once this is in your head you will never forget the 9 member of the Supreme Court of The United States of America.

My Sentence -
Roses Slightly Smell Kinky Sometimes Thou Grows Bad Algae

R - Roberts
S - Stevens
S - Scalia
K - Kennedy
S - Souter (like the one I'm waiting for)
T - Thomas
G - Ginsburg
B - Breyer
A - Alito (not Ito - that's OJ Simpson's judge)

(Annie - I remember that all from memory too...see I do pay attention)
And there you have it, my IQ is now a few points higher thanks to my roommie. Jeopardy here I come.
