the NURSERY???

Well you know you have made a solid impress on your ward when they ask you to be the Teacher for Sr. Nursery class. Boy, do they know me??? Being a month into a family ward, new to the east coast, having met the Bishop for 30 seconds (firm hand shake), filling out a bunch of paperwork and taking a decent Polaroid. They must think of me as a seasoned member of their ward. Those are the thought that run through my mind, when the 1st or 2ND counselor called me into church 15 mins early to talk about a calling. When he asked me where I was from and what brought me out to this area I guess that was good enough to decide that I was well qualified to babysit a bunch of kids for 2 hours each Sunday right after Sacrament. I believe my face spoke a thousand words of "You've got to be kidding me!" and "SERIOUSLY?" Needless to say my face caused him to ask if I was OK and my response was, "No, not really". I informed him I needed some time to think about this and if we could meet at a later date for him to really get to know me before asking me if this is something that would be best for all parties would really be smart.

Our ward has maybe three kids in nursery, no Primary, and no youth program. So I don't know whether we'll get callings at all. Should be interesting.
