playing dress UP for a good cause

This past weekend I had the opportunity to volunteer at my first gala. It was for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Annual Gala.

My gal pal Tracy (former Exec Dir) asked if I wanted to help out at the silent auction. I would have to dress-up, be friendly to the guest, and answer questions about my section of the auction. In return I would get a meal, see a free show...Sinbad (comedian) and Foreigner.

my answer...YES!

The gown was a given to me by a bike friend, Carol...she had a whole closet of them. It is navy with a black overlay. It was fun to wear and I have to say fit me pretty well. The gown I purchased in February was too big and needed too much work. Here are just a few pictures of us playing.

It was the 25th Anniversary and over that period have raised over 45 MILLION dollars.

Fabulous! And I was wondering what happened to that fabulous dress you bought, so thanks for the update! :-)
