hit the ground running...

Literally...Friday I ran home after work. It was a cool 5 miles, I was at home running around prepping form my Saturday TEAM ride. I had some stuff in my car, I had a little hope in my step and ran up my stair outside, well my foot caught on something and faceplaneted onto the brick of my front courtyard. I split my head open and blood start gushing...beyond disbelief, blood just started coming down my face. I immediately put my hand/sleeve to my forhead. I came inside got a little wosey. I wasn't sure how bad it was but I knew I should have someone check it out. He'd had a cute or too in his day. I called my neighbor (Mike), he rushed over and assessed it - he said I should get a stich or two. Well, I weighted the pro and cons about going and decided it wasn't worth it; he patched me up. I had my friend Tracy over for dinner and we put some oientment on and a butterfly bandage. Mike checked up on me later that night. Tracy was a trooper and just chilled with me.

It's been a weekend, my eye is a little black but more over sensitive to the touch. Too bad it is not a better story.
