35

Well, I've been out of the blog world for a few days. A few things have happened in the last 7 days.

- I turned 35
- I went to Cancun, Mexico w/ a galpal (Tracy)
- I signed up for another 100 mile bike ride to fight cancer
- I worked an insane amount of hours
- I am looking at getting a puppy

I think you all are wondering where does she begin. I'll work my way from top to bottom. Try to stay focused.

35...that happened on Monday - Feb 14 (hence the middle name "Valentine"). Funny enough a few people just put two and two together. That always makes me laugh. Thanks Mom and Dad...a pretty great day to celebrate - EVERYONE is celebrating "LOVE". Thank you all for the "LOVE" wishes.

Cancun, Mexico...well, turning 35 I had some pretty grand ideas in my head for many years. A new car, a super lavish party w/ a bouncy castle & 3 tiered cake, jet set to a romantic destination w/ a man, etc. Anyway, through process of elimination none of this was going to pan out as expected. To take matters into my own hands the Tuesday prior to my birthday I managed to clear 2 days of work and get a killer deal to Mexico. Tracy was a very will travel companion. So we left on Friday and got back on Monday night. The highlight of the trip - waking up on my birthday and eating breakfast on the beach and then sitting under a tree hut staring out at the Gulf of Mexico.

Another 100-mile race...I wasn't go to do another large charity this year but in Nov a dear college friend lost her Dad to leukemia. After talking to her we BOTH signed up to raise money and ride together in memory of her father. (You will hear much more about this in weeks to come)

Insane work hours...taking off 2 days and being short on co-worker is not smart. In 4days I logged almost 50hrs. The last thing I want to do is blog on a computer. Oh well...it was worth it!

Getting a puppy...a co-worker has a weinheimer puppy available. I have lots of love to give and maybe it is time to settle down and give some back. I could very much use the companionship. Now, I am just figuring out if I can really commit to this stage of life. Stay tuned...I went and visited her yesterday.
