motherland

A couple weeks ago I did my semi-annual pilgrimage to the motherland. It was as usual a packed full trip. I would not say vacation because I did have to work and most of my time was going from one social engagement to the next. I should say I am very blessed to have so many friends and family in one place.

Highlights...
Surprise 30th Birthday Party for Melanie (her actual bday isn't until 8/15)...we had a fiesta theme - pinata, Mexican food, and cake (sorry no flan). 5 out of 6 of us where able to attend...miss you T, Er, and monster.

Seeing the Hexbergs & Julia...every looks fantastic and I got to fall asleep on their coach for a few moment in mid conversation...just like the good old days AND Sarah found her wedding ring in the dry. (It had been missing for several weeks)

Demolition Derby in Kamas!!! Need I say any more...two of my co-workers got to share in this phenomenal evening.

Blessing of Carter Christian ... pretty cute for being a little baby ... fuzzy red hair

Seeing old roommates from college - Paula (living in Seattle - looks great!), Gina (of course her family is adorable), and Chica (keeping me entertained with dating stories and new concepts)...HEART you all.

Building another great playground in SLC!

I apologize I could not see everyone...time just did not permit it. I WILL be back during the holidays and will do my best to make up for it. See you in 5 months...oh, the motherland!
