Last night I took myself out to the theater. Carrie Fisher a.k.a. Princess Leia was doing a one woman show at the Lincoln Theater. I was given a free ticket; so how could I pass it up. The show took a little getting into. It basically was her telling us about her life so far and what the highs and lows have been. She smoked like a chimney and had an extreme amount of glitter eye shadow on...which made me think to myself, "can't she afford a real makeup artist or did some recently laid off MAC artist have a bad night". She didn't really shock me or surprise me all that much. I guess having two star-light parents, growing up in Hollywood, marrying a musical legend (Paul Simon), and being an addict to alcohol/drugs...what is there to raise an eyebrow over?
I had a killer seat - 3rd row and an aisle. The show lasted about 2 hours and you could bring food into the theater.
