The ALAMO - that's it?

Right after Charlotte I was off to San Antonio...deep in the heart of Texas! This was an even quicker trip but able to sample a little of San Antonio. We had a lovely walk along the Riverwalk - very pretty and the food smelled soooooo good. We finally reached out restaurant (recommended by the hotel and car rental agent)...sooo good and super crazy live music and loud decorations! After stuffing my face with chips and salsa - so much couldn't eat my dinner when slowly walked back to the car via riverwalk. Then we determined to drive by the Alamo...we drove by so quickly I was disappointed...I had this grand vision (courtesy of Pee-Wee Herman's Big Adventure) that it was on a wide open space...NO...just smashed in between several old buildings...very disappointed. I blame Pee-Wee for setting me up with such false visions.
