On Sunday my sister and brother-in-law did what they set out to do...run a marthon together. It was a perfect weather day to run 26.2 miles in Washington, DC - 32nd annual Marine Corp Marathon.
Cad-Man and I were on cheer squad duty. We - he on my back traveled throughout the city to cheer on our newest marathoners. We were able to see them in four spots - mile 11, mile 15, mile 22 and finish line. We had a delightful time ringing the cow bell and cheering the Slaughters to victory.
Every mile we saw them I became more jazzed and jealous of their accomplishment. I know that "T" wanted to throw in the towel but she is a strong women and she soared to the top like a true champion. "Er" was a stable and constant through it all.
There #1 FAN!
All in all it was a great day - a couple loss toenails, knees of jelly and several calories burned = life long goal accomplished - PRICELESS! To my sister and bro - you ROCK and welcome to the club.

That's awesome; after visiting when Tabitha was starting to train this spring, I don't know how anyone even makes it through all the training in terrible muggy weather to race day. A pretty amazing accomplishment...
