Life without communication

Well as posted earlier I noted that I had to go up to NYC for a Build that coinsighted with a young girls hopes of making a small part of the world better. I will have to go into detail later about the circus I attended that my colleagues would like to refer to as, "The Build that will go down in History". On my way out of the YMCA in Flushing/Queens, NY I realized that my phone had gone missing. I set my bag down for about 5 seconds to put on my sweatshirt and laid my phone on top the next thing I noticed the phone was gone. I went into a panic and dumped everything out - looked a tad funny to the people passing by but I did not care. Well I went inside and asked about a phone being turned in - NO, then I asked the people outside - NO. Well I got into the towncar and for some reason didn't panic. Then I got to JFK and had a meltdown...how am I going to communicate with anyone??? Who am I going to call and help me out??? This is where I truly wanted to be rescued by someone - a Knight with phone service. Well I found no relief. I had to use a payphone...talk about looking at a foreign object. I was just clueless and reality kicked in - deal with it at home. I got home an hour late and realized I had no computer or phone - what does one do; so I pleaded with my roommate to use her phone, she was cool with it for the night. I made a couple calls but the lost/stolen department was closed but I was able to deactivate my service. By the end of the night I just went to bed. Sunday - even worse, no roommate insight to use a phone and feeling secure enough to borrow for an hour - past phone experience wasn't the most roommate friendly situation. So I lived a day without any communication to the outside world - talk about a pain. Today I was off and on with my phone provider and I have to go visit a location in person or wait 3-5 business day for a phone to be mailed to me. I also don't have insurance - of course because I buy cheap phones, no I have to pay FULL retail and even the cheapest phone is $150 and they want a new contract...ARE THEY KIDDING!!!!

Now I need to leave early - well my normal time and try to get a phone. It doesn't pay to do service in NYC...playground - nothin'.

Bat-Mitzvah story tomorrow.
