Why you should heart Wisconsin

This is something I call a true delight and it would be the reason I would consider moving to Wisconsin. Several years ago a dear friend (Jen) from the cheese state brought in a bag of these things and she referred to them as "squeeky cheese" personally I thought they were groose looking but she said try them before you bash them. Since then my life has not been the same...you can not get them in California and I have not found them in DC. But I am fortunate enough to find them near dairies in remote place in Southern Utah and convience friends to pick me up a bag when they ever travel to Wisconsin. So late last week a co-worker had to go there for a conference and I begged her to bring me back a bag, she said they would be all warm from the travels and I said even better - it will make them squeek even louder. So on Monday at my desk I was given this bag of delight - full of curded cheese. I tried to pace myself to have them last until Friday but with work being a challenge this week they lasted tell yesterday morning. It was the best crisis food to reach for, if you ever get the chance to have them it is a true reward for the taste buds.

Oddly enough, although I am a native Utahn, it was Pork Chop who first introduced me to squeaky cheese when we took a road trip to Utah and a detour in... hm... I believe it's Beaver, but can't remember for sure. Anyway, I haven't had any recently, even though I saw it in a local gas station. Now I'm going to have a craving. Thanks a lot, Carrie!
