Public Exposure
Now this is the stuff big city public transportation offers and how clueless I am in the morning with my nose berried in the current Ensign. I was walking from one metro line (Yellow) to another metro connector (Red). While walking at an informal sluggish pace - in no real hurry, I was just reading my Ensign and in front of me was a metro officer and some guy who was a little slow (looked like a special needs person) - no biggy, pretty typical scene...that is until the officer said into his radio - "peep assistance". For some reason I stopped reading Pres. Monson's words. Well as soon as I did that a business woman and another metro cop were coming from the other direction...she was all fired up because he had exposed himself. I was like hmmm, OK big deal don't look and just go on with your business. Apparently she did not share the same feelings, because she started screaming...his "P" is out, his "P" is out!!!...over and over. Now the odd part is everyone else just keep going on with their morning commute and I realized have we all just seen it so often that is doesn't matter or was the morning coffee not kick in yet. Well needless to say I was not wanting to see the end result so I just got on the train. But the woman was very animated - that made the morning different. Have I seen it all - probably not.

I'm torn on how one should respond to these incidents. Do you make a huge fuss and embarrass the guy in hopes that he will never try this again? Or do these types thrive on getting a big reaction? I actually tend to think they do not like the big fuss and that is the way to go... doesn't mean I'd have the guts to start shouting out what was happening to a station full of onlookers, though.
