SO this morning I was sitting in my bed waking up and I hear a strange scratching noise. Now in this house it is not too uncommon...this noise usually means we have unwelcome friends - squirrels!!! Yes I said squirrels...so I sat up in my bed and yelled for my roommate Jenny to come in and open the door. I said listen and sure enough we heard loud scratching...this unwelcome roommate was under my bed trapped. I was freaked out, she wouldn't look under and nether would I.
My roommate told me my only option was to call ANIMAL CONTROL!! Well I didn't want to get out of my bed but I leaped out grabbed my computer and cell phone. Shut the door and went down stairs, found the number on the Internet - thank goodness for the Internet. So I had to call the Animal Control of Alexandria - A RECORDING CAME ON!!! My mind is freaking out, don't they know there a live thing crawling under my bed! The message referred to call the Alexandria Police Department. So I called the number and told them immediately the situation. The officer asked if I knew what it was, I said know, he ask where it was, I said under my bed, then he asked if it was contained...I said "YES, OF COURSE". Then he put me on hold...came back and said mama the emergency crew is between shifts I can't promise when someone will come but you will just have to sit tight and wait. I say thank you and hang up. My roommate again said after the call well you know there is a gap under your door we should stuff a towel under just to make sure it says. So I did so. THEN she proceeds to tell me that it could have gotten in because they left the front and back doors open while painting a night to to ago - GREAT!
Now I am eating oatmeal turned on the TV and find the movie "North Shore" ... ahhhh, Turtle (Patty's guy), I say what the heck; can't go anywhere. And of course my roommates still continue to get ready for church. Next thing you know they say well, good luck. And they go to church. At least I have Turtle!
Stay tune...for the capture!
